I am a postdoctoral researcher in coastal risk management and environmental governance. After my MSc studies in geophysics and oceanography (in Croatia and France), I obtained my PhD in geography-risk management from Aix-Marseille University, France (Horizon 2020 fellow). My postdoctoral project is entitled: “Science, Management and Information transfer: What enhances LEarning processes between policy-makers and scientists concerning coastal risk management? (SMILE)”. SMILE explores how policy-makers interact with scientists and integrate scientific information on coastal risks into policies. With case studies on integrated coastal zone management in the Mediterranean (Morocco and Italy), I hope to improve policies on marine and coastal environments in light of accelerated climate change.
