Eric’s major academic journey began with a bachelor’s in biomedical engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. His inclination towards rehabilitation engineering motivated him to further his academic exploits at the University of Ghana, where he obtained a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. With a track record in the academic field, Eric boasts of a fulfilling 9-year rich teaching experience in the field of prosthetic and orthotic education. Eric’s love for teaching emanates from his personal conviction that every opportunity to teach is an opportunity for him to learn and inspire his learners onto good deeds.

    Aside from Eric’s academic sphere, he also holds a unique track record as a social entrepreneur in Ghana with evidence of being a co-founder of Smiles of Hope, a disability rehabilitation advocacy organization. With Smiles of Hope, Eric has facilitated the informal education of at least 350 amputees, organized at least 96 amputee peer-support community engagements and promoted the training of 10 amputees in small business skills in Ghana.
