1. What challenges did you encounter in the course of your 2-year MSCA fellowship?
In the last two years as an MSCA fellow, I have not experienced any significant challenges, thanks to the ready and quick assistance and guidance from the fellowship supervisor and tech transfer team. The initial settling down process in Brussels, such as finding accommodation and registering with the city office, was a little overwhelming, but the well-organized fellowship introductory brochure helped to overcome the challenges.
2. What were the most rewarding aspects of being an MSCA fellow in this IMPACT program?
The most rewarding experience of the program was the opportunity to attend and actively participate in a wide variety of trainings and workshops. The diversified and insightful training programs enriched me with professional skills, social awareness, and ethical positioning. The making of a short documentary on our research topic was also a fun experience.
3. In what way did the MSCA program (including the pitch of your business case) help or help you in mapping out your next career path?
The MSCA-IMPACT program, training, and workshops helped me to familiarize myself with the need, competence, and requirements for a suitable career path in Europe. I think this fellowship is an important stepping stone for me to build a career in academia.
