1. What challenges did you encounter in the course of your 2-year MSCA fellowship?
Two challenges were pertinent over the course of my 2-year MSCA fellowship. The language barrier. Although we are based in the heart of Europe, the language barrier can be quite challenging for administration purposes, but also for your future career choice. Then, two years pass very quickly. Think about the ‘what after’ question since day one. Ok, maybe not day 1, but certainly from day 7.
2. What were the most rewarding aspects of being a MSCA fellow in this IMPACT program?
I can really go on about this question. Some of those rewarding aspects are: working within a field that is my passion, conducting activities that I like, creating the impact that I want, understanding different culture, creating networks and friendships, and many others. It really was very rewarding both personally and professionally.
3. In what way did the MSCA program (including the pitch of your business case) has helped or will help you in mapping out your next career path?
I feel that the program has given me a strong foundation and advanced my skills that will help me when I pursue new research projects and look into opportunities in both academic and non-academic environments. I sincerely appreciate all of the help and tools that the MSCA program has given me, and I’m excited to use these experiences to further my career goals.
